Rumipos.com, Makassar, Minggu, 11/10/2026 — Kombes Arya Perdana led another large‑scale raid in Borta, detaining 104 suspects and seizing drugs and cash as the “Kampung Narkoba” remains a persistent hub.
Raids and arrests in latest operation
Police from SatNarkoba Polrestabes Makassar and Polda Sulsel Reserse Narkoba detained 104 people, with 98 testing positive for narcotics.
Three alleged dealers were captured, including a long‑time target identified as P.
The operation yielded 10 grams of methamphetamine, hundreds of bong devices, three parang, and more than Rp49 million in cash.
Evidence also included two CCTV units, dozens of mobile phones, and several gas lighters.
Resistance and strategic challenges
Officers reported repeated resistance from residents who had built reinforced iron gates to block entry.
The suspect P evaded capture by moving across rooftops and throwing objects at police.
Kasat Narkoba AKBP Lulik Febyantara said the area requires a special strategy because of the fortified “benteng besi”.
“Beberapa kali kita lakukan penindakan disana mendapat perlawanan karena mereka merasa aman dengan pintu besinya,” kata AKBP Lulik Febyantara, Kasat Narkoba Polrestabes Makassar, Minggu, 11/10/2026.
Community and prevention programs
Polrestabes Makassar launched a community empowerment program called Kampung Bebas dari Narkoba (KBDN) to provide alternatives for families linked to drug cases.
The initiative distributed aid such as rice bags and laying‑hen cages to households, including P’s family.
Daily patrols continue in Borta and Sapiria to deter further trafficking.
The effort combines prevention, rehabilitation, and law enforcement to break the cycle.
Despite repeated raids since he took command, the Borta area remains a narcotics hotspot, prompting both crackdowns and social programs. Police stress that sustained operations and community support are needed to fully eradicate the trade.
