CKG Program Reaches 109 Million Citizens, 907 Thousand Begin Treatment
Rumipos.com, Jakarta, Friday, 23/10/2026 — The free health check program (CKG) has reached 109 million citizens and begun treating 907 thousand patients.
The Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that registration has hit 116 million people.
Screening detected about 8.3 million cases of hypertension and diabetes.
Of those cases, 907 thousand people have started receiving medication.
Treatment coverage remains limited with 755 thousand hypertensive patients now on regular drugs.
That figure represents only about 11 percent of the seven million hypertension cases identified earlier.
The Ministry of Health aims for 80 percent of detected patients to receive treatment and 80 percent of those treated to see health improvement.
This year’s program expands beyond screening to include follow‑up care for participants needing ongoing treatment.
The government is gathering further data to track health changes after medication.
Examinations focus on blood pressure blood sugar cholesterol and obesity because they are linked to heart disease vascular problems and stroke.
Dental caries were found in 32.5 percent of participants and obesity in 18.2 percent.
Other conditions detected include prehypertension at 9.9 percent hypertension at 9.7 percent prediabetes at 4.5 percent and diabetes at 2.2 percent.
The Ministry also notes dyslipidemia as a concern requiring attention.

The CKG program serves as an early detection gateway and follow‑up system to manage diseases before they worsen.
Officials say expanding checks and treatment could raise average life expectancy from 72 years to 76 years.
